How to Decipher MIL-STD-2073 Codes
To help you understand military packaging better, we have provided a packaging code cross reference to military packaging
and marking standards, a link to the SAIC Code Lookup web page, three illustrations of DLA Land and Maritime's
most common contract packaging requirement formats, and links to applicable information throughout our DLA Packaging web
site. This information will help you decode and understand the packaging requirements in your contract. If you still need
help, please contact the Inventory Control Point which issued the purchase order, solicitation, or contract or use our feedback form.

Code Lookup - Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) MIL-STD-2073 Packaging Code Lookup website.
NOTES:
1. As of April 4, 2003, the Navy has conducted a completed review of the packaging codes listed in this database. All descriptions are MIL-STD-2073-1D compliant. Any discrepancies or access difficulties should be directed to: webmaster@icptarp.net.
2. Some descriptions are truncated to not include the entire unbridged MIL-STD-2073-1D description. To review the entire description, the user can simply select the title of the code (located to the left of the code description) and the user will be directed to the full code description.
The following table is an interpretation and cross reference for MIL-STD-2073-1D packaging requirements.
