SUBJECT: DDSP Update 27 Feb

Summary:

Work In Progress (WIP) has now been eliminated and DDSP is processing the majority of all work within a day or so of receipt. Small numbers of hazardous, big/bulky items still remain, but most are less than 15 days old. On time performance has improved dramatically and Surface and ALOC shipments are within the CENTCOM goal. Expected volumes due to Army processing problems last week were not as high as expected, but did account for a one day drop of 45k MROs on the 20th, or 26% of all MROs received last week.

In our efforts to provide the ICPs with feedback on carrier/vendor performance, it has come to our attention that most carriers/vendors are still not providing contract numbers at the time the appointment is requested. This is the only available method for us to determine who the owner is and without this information, feedback will not be available. We are directing our appointment personnel to continue to ask for contract numbers, but most often the data is not provided. We ask you to please direct your buyers to continue to push this issue to the vendors so that we can more efficiently process appointments and provide you performance feedback on your carrier/vendors.
