IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS: CRITERIA FOR DSCC'S RECOGNITION FOR EXCELLENCE AWARDS (NEW 2009)
To our Vendor Community: In December 2005 we informed you that BSM performance data from June 1 - December 31, 2005 would be made available to you through the challenge process prior to its inclusion in your ABVS score, with inclusion expected to take place in March 2006. As a result of your valuable input through the challenge process, we have identified data integration issues involving BSM performance data. Consequently, we have determined it in the best interest of the Government and our vendors to utilize BSM data for awards issued January 1, 2006 forward. As always, we strongly urge our vendors to review their performance data often and coordinate with the appropriate ABVS Administrator to resolve any concerns
To our Vendor Community: As DLA continues the development of the Business System Modernization (BSM) program, the Automated Best Value System, (ABVS) which is DLA's past performance program, will remain a part of this effort. To date, awards made through BSM have not been captured in your ABVS score. Effective January 1, 2006, BSM performance data will start being compiled and become a part of your overall ABVS score. To allow you adequate time for review/challenge, BSM performance data from June 2005 through December 31, 2005 will not be included in your ABVS score until March 2006. BSM performance data captured from January 1, 2006 forward will be processed in the same manner as is currently done with Legacy data. In addition, effective January 1, 2006, ABVS will also begin to capture performance data on awards for non-NSN items. Finally, it is recommended you review your performance data on a frequent basis and challenge any negative data within the Preview Period. As always, you will have approximately 60 days to view and challenge any new negative data prior to its inclusion in the score. You will continue to provide documentation to the respective ABVS administrator. The ABVS web address: www.dscr.dla.mil/proc/abvm/abvm.htm
ABVS data is now available via the Internet.
